Walt Schulz president of Shannon Boat Company

Walter Schulz Founder and President of Shannon Boat Company since 1975. As a hands-on President, Schulz oversees design, engineering and production at Shannon, and participates in the Company’s sales, IT, marketing, accounting, and administration. Schulz is acknowledged in the marine industry for producing yachts of consistently high quality over four decades, and is recognized as a design and engineering leader and innovator. All Shannon models from 14 to 55 feet have been designed by Schulz. He has received six marine-related U.S. Patents for his design work. Schulz attended New York University, Parsons School of Design, Newark School of Industrial Arts and Montclair University, earning various degrees. Schulz has written numerous articles that have been published in various yachting magazines over the years, and he has spoken before many trade, professional, and community agencies.

Erin Schulz

Erin Schulz serves as a director of the Shannon River Marine Heritage Foundation (SRMHF). The daughter of Walter Schulz, Founder and President of SRMHF and Shannon Boat Company, Inc., Erin has spent her entire life in the yachting industry. Born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, the “Sailing Capital of the World”, she went on to study international relations in New York City, Washington, DC, & Switzerland, and design at the New York School of Interior Design & Parsons School of Design. In 2016, she founded Skye Navi, LLC, a yacht interior design and brokerage firm. She is a yacht broker under YBAA, The Association of Yacht Sales Professionals.

Dr. Henry Crowley

Dr. Henry D. Crowley, DO has a medical practice at Same Day Surgi-Clinic in Fall River, Massachusetts. He specializes in anesthesiology, and has over 25 years of experience in the field of medicine. Dr. Crowley graduated from University Of New England, College Of Osteopathic Medicine with his medical degree in 1990. He completed a residency at Umass Memorial Healthcare, Monmouth Medical Center, and Eastern Maine Medical Center Internship. He is affiliated with numerous hospitals in the Fall River area, including Southcoast Hospitals Group, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton, Emerson Hospital and UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus. Dr. Crowley is board certified in Anesthesiology and also specializes in Pain Medicine. He is an avid fisherman and active in the Wounded Warrior Project, Maine chapter.

Bill Ramos, vp of Sales at Shannon Boat Company

William Ramos, Vice President of sales for Shannon Boat Company. A native of Bristol, RI, he started out as a part-time fiberglass production worker for Walter Schulz in 1975. After completing school, his full time employment at Shannon began in 1978. He is a graduate of Brown University and Cornell Law School, and is admitted to practice law before the RI and U.S. District Court Bars. He is responsible for Shannon’s sales and marketing, purchasing, administration, and customer service. Ramos is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspect of yacht sales, construction, service, and operations.

Tom Quinlan, production manager at Shannon Boat Company

Thomas Quinlan is a graduate of Diman Vocational School, Fall River, MA and started his career as a carpenter/shipwright in the marine industry at Alden/Freedom Yachts. Quinlan has been employed at Shannon since 1979. He was promoted to cabinet shop foreman, Production Manager, and then Vice President in charge of all aspects of construction and personnel at the company. His responsibilities include bringing to reality the creations of Walter Schulz, as well as scheduling Shannon’s manpower and material and needs on a day-to-day basis.
